Carolyn Pennypacker and Ry are both artists and musicians who live and work in Los Angeles and happen to have a love of their own worth celebrating.
Carolyn is an accomplished singer/songwriter who has been the front woman for such bands such as The Finches and Palms who have toured the United States and Europe extensively. She is also a visual artist who works with woodblock printing and has designed all of the covers and merchandise for both of her bands.
Ry Rocklen is an artist and musician as well who primarily makes sculptures that paradoxically reflect a respect for the Duchampian sculptural tradition and an anarchic rebellion against art historical constraints. His work was included in the most recent Whitney Biennial in 2008 and has been widely exhibited in America and Europe. He is represented by Parker Jones Gallery in LA and Marc Jancou Contemporary in New York.
Ry is also a musician with a solo project (Ry Rock) and a collaborative rap project with the artist Nick Lowe called The Bushes.
